Who says you can’t learn anything of value from SouthPark? Besides, during finals, a little distraction is necessary for sanity. In that vein, you may enjoy this video demonstrating a cutting-edge trial tactic.

Before you enter your next courtroom mock trial, be sure you are ready to use the Chewbacca Defense if you need it. It only works with a jury, but as you can see, it is very effective.

For demonstration purposes, you may watch this video where the Chewbacca Defense was first created, on South Park no less or read a less entertaining transcript of the Chewbacca Defense being used in court.

  1. Chris Says:

First off, never is it established in any of the movies or other established literature that Chewbacca resided or ever resided on Endor. This is a gross falsehood.

Second, why is there a big fat guy lighting a cigarette placed in front of the Chewbacca image in your video?

  2. admin Says:

I think the guy lighting a cigarette was the actor who played Chewbacca—not that Chewbacca isn’t real. It’s just that the real Chewbacca wouldn’t license his image to be used in this work.

Regarding your first point, are you suggesting that the reasoning used in the Chewbacca Defense doesn’t hold up under careful legal scrutiny? That’s an outrage. If you don’t like the Chewbacca Defense, you don’t have to use it. But don’t play your lawyer mind tricks on us. This video is proof that the Chewbacca Defense is effective, and a jury of one’s peers could not be wrong.
