Imagine you are sitting in your law school class. You think of something you need to tell your friend, and you want to send a quick message to your friend. The friend may not check e-mail for a while. What do you do? Send a text message using Google’s free “Send a Text Message” service. No login is required. Just go to the website and start typing your message.
A similar service is provided by Teleflip, but Teleflip can log your email address. WithTeleflip, you can send an email that shows up on someone’s phone as a text message. Try out this email to text message service.

I’m so behind the times. Don’t cell phones buzz or beep when a text message is received? If so, you could use this service for nefarious practices as well… Know a friend who doesn’t silence his phone during class? Send a text message across the room.
Of course, I wouldn’t do that.

if you ever want to text someone you should go to TEXTEM.NET!!! you can really text people there it is sweet!! so go ahead it is fast and easy so just try it!!!

http://www.txt2day.com is the most popular Free text messaging SMS website. I find it easy to use. No signup like many of the others.

If you are in Canada, you may want to try http://www.freetxt.ca. It has all the major Canadian providers (Bell, Rogers, Telus, PC Mobile, Koodo, Solo, Fido etc…)

Yes, http://www.freetxt.ca works well. I like the way the site was revamped. They actually link to http://www.txt2day.com for international providers.
